Gift basket for ill friend? | |
I have a 50 year old friend that’s about to be off work for a few months due to surgery. My coworkers and I would like to make a “off work survival basket†for her. I need help thinking of fun stuff to put in it. So far we have come up with a book, tea, a bell, activity books, hand held games, snack food, candy, nail polish. Any Ideas? Do you know of any good books to put in the basket?? Any ideas at all??
Answers:
1My mum was given something like this called a 'happy basket' when she had cancer for whenever she felt down she could open a present. Perhaps vouchers for flowers, vouchers for tickets to a show she wants to see. As for books Fiction - Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series are amusing Non-Fiction - Lance Armstrong's book about survival and the book called 'Between a rock and a hard place' about the guy that had to amputate his arm in order to survive are really inspirational. How about a photo of all the people organising the basket holding signs of well wishes??
